Here's a selection of recent articles.

My career in journalism began in 1989 as trainee reporter at The Ormskirk Advertiser.

In 1992 I moved to The Liverpool Echo where I stayed for 11 years and undertook a variety of roles including news reporter, feature writer and editor of the in-house magazine.

In 2003 I left to become a freelance writer and have written for numerous publications including The Daily Mirror, The Daily Mail, The Times, Metro, Bella, Best, Mother & Baby, Family Circle, Eve, Woman & Home and Junior Magazine.

In 2007 I was appointed writer in residence at a Lancashire prison but I continue to write for The Liverpool Daily Post as well as penning the weekly Family Matters column which appears in The Southport Visiter, Formby Times, Crosby Herald and the Midweek Advertiser.
